for Ben

I have a friend suffering a heart problem. He is way too young for this. He an artist, and in danger of this doing him in.

I was having a nervous day worrying about this and that. I thought I'd take some Prayer Flags up to the top of the mountain across from me.





So just across the road and under the fence I discover the Cholla cactus are in bloom, some omen if you like.





I startled a flycatcher, napping in the heat, I was already wondering if it was too hot for this--90 something.






My destination.







So I got up there in about 45 minutes and strung the flags and took this photo. You can click on it to see larger image. Ive kept it small so it will load faster.






It was really hot and some wind kicked up to cool things a bit.













I see this pine from my window, I call this tree, the center of the world.

I passed it as I came down the mountain.












That was good.
